GIRO
The year was 1986. Working late nights in his garage, designer and bike racer Jim Gentes created the firet lightweight adult cycling helmet the Prolight. Then he gave it tot some friends, one of whom just happened to win the tour de France.
Today, Jim's philosophy is still alive and well at the Giro, who continue to push the limits of the helmet design, and test the results on the world's greatest athletes. The process has produced innovation after innovation: Roc Loc fit systems, Wind Tunnel ventilation, Pont of view visors, Roll Cage and In-Mould Carbon sub frame technology, to name just a few. Of course, the innovations mean nothing if they don't improve the performance of the product. Does it fit? Does it keep cool? Does it make you feel good? How can it be made better?
